While most Irish fighters currently struggle to find a platform to ply their trade within the midst of an Irish pugilistic slump, the same cant be said for Irelands three fighting brothers Patrick, Paulie and Eddie Hyland who are currently putting the final touches to pre-fight preparation ahead of their much anticipated fight night in Atlantic City. The Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City will play host to the Tallaght trio on the 28th of January where Paulie and Eddie Hyland will play lead supporting roles on a Team Snooki promotion bill headed by their brother and undefeated featherweight Patrick “The Punisher” Hyland. |

For the past few weeks, rumours have been circulating throughout the boxing industry on when, where and against whom Middleweight Champion Sergio Maravilla Martinez would next be defending his world championship. After some speculation, it is now official that Martinez will defend against the WBC #3 and WBA #5 rated middleweight in the world, Ireland's Matthew Macklin. Martinez-Macklin will take place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, March 17 (St. Patrick's Day) in the first major boxing event in New York City in 2012. DiBella Entertainment will promote the event, which will be televised live on HBO's World Championship Boxing starting at 10PM ET/PT. |

Unbeaten Irish based Cuban duo Luis "El Leon" Garcia (11-0, 9 KO's) and Mike "The Rebel" Perez (17-0, 12 KO's) are promising a double dose of seasons beatings when they make their US debuts on the undercard of Jermain Taylor's return at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon, California on December 30th.
Garcia's takes on fellow undefeated prospect Alexander "The Great" Johnson (12-0, 5 KO's) in a bout which will be broadcast live on ShoBox: The New Generation on the Showtime network while Perez meets Friday "The 13th" Ahunanya (24-8-13, 8 KO's) in a heavyweight bout scheduled for ten rounds.
